Smartphone Lost or Stolen?

Safeguard your Smartphone first once you purchased it.
First of all if you are iPhone user, then register with Apple Find My iPhone.
If you are Android Smartphone user then register with Google’s Android Device Manager.

Actually the Smartphone is a hand held computer. It can be tracked easily by using many Apps, if it is lost or stolen Also can track a lost or stolen Smartphone through its IMEI Number.

Always purchase Smartphone only from certified vendors with its warranty card and purchase receipt. Never buy phones from unauthorized vendors or from people unknown to you.

Always keep those purchase papers and the phone box in a safe place, as they used to have the IMEI number of your device.

Once you are ready to buy the mobile phone or Smartphone ask the seller to show you the IMEI number of the phone and check If it is matching with the number on the box, the receipt, inside the battery cover and must display the same with *#06# keying.

To check the IMEI number they will press *#06# on your phone's keypad.

Also you can see it on the compliance plate under the battery.

Follow the steps given here.

  1. Get your Mobile Phone IMEI and phone number.
  2. Go to the nearest police station and make a complaint and get a complaint copy of it.
  3. Go to your carrier (Eg: Dialog, Airtel, Mobitel or Hutch.) and lodge a complaint with them, with the phone number.
  4. Send a complaint Letter through Registered Post with the following information.
